Priyanka Dabade's story is about a little girl who had to grow up quicker than many. When Priyanka was 12 years old, she lost her father. But with immense support from her mother, she developed amazing drawing and painting skills. And now, at the age of 32, she has completed a diploma in fashion design and even a degree in embroidery.

Priyanka was introduced to NAAI by Bal Kalyan Sanstha, an NGO that works with people with disabilities and their families. Through weekly online training sessions, Priyanka is mentored by senior faculty at Lady Irwin College in Delhi and attends the offline boot camp organized by NAAI every year.

Skill category - Embroidery

Here, Candidates use embroidery to decorate clothing. The Abilympics is a special event where embroiderers from all over the world can showcase their skills and compete against each other. The training & camps are helpful to see how experts work and to learn new techniques in sewing, designing and making embroidery designs.
